U.S. Senator Tim Scott Endorses Kendall Qualls in Third District Race for Congress
Plymouth, Minnesota – Kendall Qualls has received the endorsement of South Carolina Senator Tim Scott in the race for Congress in Minnesota’s Third Congressional District.
“Washington needs people like Kendall more than ever,” Scott said. “In addition to his leadership experience as an Army Officer and healthcare executive, Kendall brings a unique perspective to Washington. Like me, Kendall grew up in poverty in a single parent household, but we wanted more out of life. We both embody the American dream and the power of conservative values. I look forward to working with Kendall in Washington,” Scott concluded.
“I am grateful for Senator Scott’s endorsement,” Qualls stated. “This endorsement comes at a crucial time, with less than 50 days to Election Day. We are working hard to reach voters and the strong support throughout the Third District, and across the country, is a reflection of the success of our campaign.” Qualls concluded that “Sen. Scott and I both recognize that, in America, where you start in life is not where you have to end up. Our shared experience and love for America makes this endorsement particularly special to me.”
Senator Scott is one of several leading Republicans that have expressed their support for Kendall’s campaign. Kendall has also received endorsements from House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, Senator Rudy Boschwitz, Representative Tom Emmer, and former Third District Congressman Erik Paulsen. Additionally, Kendall received the endorsement of the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police, an organization which represents over 2,500 law enforcement officers across Minnesota.
