Qualls Rolls to Primary Victory
Campaign set to highlight key differences with Dean Phillips
Plymouth, Minnesota – Kendall Qualls, Republican-endorsed candidate for Congress in Minnesota’s Third Congressional District, rolled to an overwhelming victory in the primary election, amassing 76 percent of the vote and handily winning all three counties in the district.
“We took nothing for granted in the primary, and the thousands of calls completed and doors knocked by our energized volunteers helped us spread our message throughout the district and increase turnout in key precincts. This is a formula we will replicate many times over for the November general election,” said Qualls.
As the Republican nominee, Kendall Qualls will face off against first-term DFL incumbent Dean Phillips in the November general election. Qualls’ fundraising bested Phillips in the most recent FEC reporting period – more than doubling the amount raised by Phillips – as his groundbreaking candidacy attracts the support of people from across the Third District and state of Minnesota.
“Voters have told me they’re looking for fresh faces from outside the world of politics to serve our communities and candidates who are true to their word. On that score, Dean Phillips campaigned as a moderate, but his quotes don’t match his votes as his 100% voting record with Nancy Pelosi’s extreme agenda on issue after issue hurts Third District families,” concluded Qualls.
